Power and Performance

The DC212KA's high-performance, commercial-grade motor drives the bit at 0-1,100 RPM, and 0-4,100 beats per minute. The factory-set clutch greatly reduces sudden, high-torque reactions if a bit jams in the hole.

Comfort and Convenience

This SDS rotary hammer features DEWALT SHOCKS active vibration control through an internal suspended mechanism, which reduces user fatigue for comfort and productivity. The variable-speed, reversing switch provides precise control throughout use, and a heavy-duty hammer mechanism ensures fast penetration with very low vibration. Weighing 5.25 pounds and measuring 10.5 inches front to back, it's also compact in size and offers an L-shaped design--ideal for overhead use and applications in tight spaces. Other features include a 360-degree rotating side handle for maximum control and an adjustable depth rod for consistently boring exact-depth holes.

DEWALT's XRP Extended-Life Battery System

A tool's only useful if it runs long enough to get the job done, and the DEWALT XRP extended run time batteries keep the DC212KA running at full tilt. They provide up to 40 percent more run time than standard Ni-Cad batteries, and any XRP battery can be used with any 18-volt DEWALT tool, which allows you to expand your system by adding other DEWALT cordless tools (sold separately) as the demands of your job grow.

The DC212KA comes with two 18-volt XRP batteries and a 1-hour charger.

Warranty

This DEWALT tool is backed by three-year limited warranty covering any defects due to faulty materials or workmanship (from the date of purchase). It's also covered by DEWALT's two-year free service contract, where DEWALT will maintain the tool and replace worn parts caused by normal use--for free.
